About Jacqueline Falls
My passion is people. When I
wake up in the morning I love the idea of knowing that my
daily mission is to help another human being lead a happier/healthier
life. Nothing is more satisfying than to someone say “I
feel so much better now.” Simple yet powerful words.
Feeling better for some is the difference between wanting
to die but choosing to live; filing for a divorce or fighting
for your marriage; living in mediocrity or pressing towards
a victory. |

My approach to counseling is straightforward. I
believe focusing on setting goals and finding solutions. Counseling
is not just what I do for a living but it is what I live to do.
I received my Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Texas
Southern University in 1993. I have been licensed by the Texas
State Board of Professional Counselors since 2001. There are
times when couples or family sessions can get a little heated and
require some other form of intervention along with counseling. At
those times I rely on skills learned from the Dispute
Resolution Center of Harris County where I received training
to become a certified mediator.
On my road to private practice I have provided counseling
to battered and homeless women at the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter
for Women; abused children and their families through Children
Protective Services and disaster victims through the Mental
Health/Mental Retardation Authority of Harris County. While
all of those experiences were rewarding in their own right; they
were also very limiting in terms of my ability to provide the best
possible service to my clients. So with no red tape or quota’s
to fill in my own office space; I am free to offer limitless compassion
and support to those in need of counseling.
Listed below you will find an abbreviated list of
my qualifications.
I am aware that we live in an ever changing world and for that reason
I make every effort to stay abreast of the latest trends in counseling.

Counseling Association and the American
Counseling Association.

- Grief and Loss due Death, Divorce or Long Term
